Page Design Philosophy
Our design philosophy is to keep it simple... and fast. To be sure, we could use background images and huge graphics with push buttons. But we believe visitors to your pages seek information, not glitz. Not all users have ISDN, DSL or T1 lines. The majority of western hemisphere users still are on dial-up lines at speeds of 28k or something less than 56k. (Our early Web design work included sites in Europe and Australia, and technology lagged behind the Web-centric USA.) Even in 2006, I am still surprised by the numbers of small monitors on desktops set at 640x480 pixels. We work to strike a balance between an attractive design and a quick, responsive, informative Web site. (And most of our sites function reasonalbly well on the small RIM BlackBerry screen.)
Photography
If photographs are appropriate for the Web site design, our photography skills acquired over 40 years, a state-of-the-art prosumer digital SLR and Adobe Photoshop enable us to add professional-quality photographs to your Web site pages. Alternatively, we can process photographs you supply. The bottom line? The fit and finish of site photography supports the design plan of the Web site.
